NZ Agritech and Fieldays International Marketing's new initiative is called NZ Agritech Global.
The aim is to expand the scope for New Zealand agriculture companies to participate in offshore marketing opportunities, they say.
"This new entity will provide the resources and strength for exciting export development for the agriculture sector when the world was seeking enabling technologies and products to increase agriculture productivity," say Barry Quayle, general manager of NZ National Fieldays and Jim Grennell, chairman NZ Agritech.
"Both Fieldays and NZ Agritech have independent brands and strengths globally and that together can provide leverage for opportunities with agribusiness export."
Quayle says the new organisation will bring increased benefits for exhibitors at Fieldays and NZ Agritech members, and facilitate more companies into export.
"The demand for what many New Zealand agriculture companies have to offer has never been better and it is important to further establish a greater collaborative presence in key markets while this positive environment exists."
Initiatives to take New Zealand agriculture exporting companies into key territories will be brought together and a programme of in market visits is being planned.
Fieldays Society's flagship event, New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, is on until Saturday at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Waikato.
Fieldays is supported by strategic partners ANZ and the University of Waikato
