Testing centre helps deliver excellence
The technology and Innovation Centre (TIZ 3) at Grieskirchen in Austria was founded in 2002 and is operated by three shareholders.
The recently announced option of a Frontboard assembly, fitted ahead of the discs seeks to expand the capability of the machine by allowing it to work in previously ploughed areas. Using spring steel shanks with replaceable wear tips the unit will break up clods or lumps, and also present the discs with a level surface which is said to reduce loadings, which should result in reduced fuel consumption.
Adjustment in work is carried out by an independent hydraulic circuit, with depth control by spring clips fitted to the control ram. The Frontboard can be retro-fitted to all trailed TERRADISC models.
