Wynne recently told 160 people, at the recent Taranaki Ballance Farm Environment Awards dinner, in New Plymouth, that the entire rural community had a collective responsibility to look after the environment. Unfortunately Wynne said this right after his company had been fined $60,000 for a discharge of sulphur dioxide into the air in May last year.
