Bad taste

Written by

OPINION: Your canine crusader was not surprised to see that Agriculture Minister Damien O’Connor’s solution to problems with winter grazing was to set up another committee.

Let’s face it, O’Connor – like the rest of his Government – can’t make a decision on his own without a highly paid, taxpayer funded working group to give him ideas.

But the Hound and many others in the sector are more than disappointed, and highly angered, to see the self proclaimed South Island winter grazing expert and ‘environmental activist’ Angus Robson, of Hamilton, appointed to the minister’s ‘winter grazing committee’.

What was O’Connor thinking? Many in the sector are likening Robson’s appointment at being akin to the Christchurch shooter being appointed to the group advising the Government on gun control laws.
