THE HOUND notes that Transpower is currently advertising for a newly created position of ‘landowner relations programme advisor’. 

According to its advert the near $100k a year role sits in the SOE’s ‘Landowner Relations Programme Group’ which is: “dedicated to having trusting relationships with landowners particularly when we are doing work on their land”. Your old mate reckons this will be news to the hundreds of farmers around the country who have had to deal with Transpower trying to force what they can and can’t do on their own land around its pylons.
