The power of technology and the significance of a rich heritage are the focuses for Case IH and New Holland at this year’s National Fieldays.

Case IH is highlighting 2023 as the centenary of the Farmall tractor, with several vintage examples taking centre stage on the site, alongside current day counterparts. A special Farmall cake made from 100 lamingtons will also be part of an official cake-cutting to mark the centenary, while 100 miniature replica Case IH tractors will be given away on each day to the first 100 people through the gate.

“This is a significant celebration for this iconic tractor, which has played such a big role in agriculture’s evolution, both here and around the globe. This display of older Farmalls’ and current models will show how far this tractor has comet,” said Murray Grant, CNH Industrial Commercial Business Manager, New Zealand.

Case IH is also the sponsor the popular Fieldays’ tractor pull, which makes a return this year, with heats from Wednesday to Friday and finals on Saturday.

On the New Holland site, the NH Braud Grape and FR Forage Cruiser harvesters will be showcased, the former well known in NZ for more than 35 years.

The company will also host a Farm to Fieldays event, where some of the brand’s customers will be presenting a selection of the goods, they produce with the help of New Holland machinery. Offering produce from wine to fruit and cheeses, Farm to Fieldays will take place each day from 10am – 2pm. New Holland is also a finalist in the 2023 Fieldays Innovation Awards in the Growth and Scale category section, with its XPower XPS, utilising electrophysical weeding technology.

“Fieldays is all about showcasing the best of New Zealand agriculture, and celebrating the industry’s contribution to the nation. We’re always excited to be part of it, and to showcase what CNH Industrial is doing at the ag machinery level to bring further enhancements to productivity and efficiency across the entire farming sector,” Murray said.
