Diddums

Your old mate notes that a bunch of Pommy vegans and vegetarians are ‘outraged’ that Britain’s new £5 notes contain tallow, a substance made from animal fat and often used in soap and candles.
This came to light when the Bank of England confirmed there is a trace of tallow in the polymer pellets used in the base substrate of the polymer £5 notes. So far about 60,000 whiners have signed a petition to ban tallow in the manufacture of the notes. “The new £5 notes contain animal fat in the form of tallow,” the whiny vegan petition says. “This is unacceptable to millions of UK vegans and vegetarians. We demand that you cease....” Boo hoo! Your old mate thought the Poms had more to worry about – e.g. Brexit and having an awful Aussie coaching their rugby team!
