Early start?

Written by  The Hound

OPINION: This old mutt reckons it’s no wonder the agri-based Lincoln University is going down the tubes.

The woke-types in charge at Lincoln have, instead of sticking to their knitting and getting the institution back in shape, become the first tertiary provider in New Zealand to back this month’s nationwide schoolkids’ ‘strike’ against climate change on Sept 27.

Acting vice-chancellor professor Bruce McKenzie says although lectures will continue, Lincoln staff and students may strike without needing to take time off or explain their non-attendance.

Your old mate bets that most of the Lincoln students who say they’ll attend the climate change event will, in fact, be down at the local boozer on that Friday afternoon getting an early start on the weekend’s social activities. And who can blame them?
