The recent election of life-time socialist Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the opposition Labour Party has seen him appoint vegan Kerry McCarthy as his new, shadow farming minister. McCarthy admits she is a "militant" when it comes to clamping down on meat consumption. "I believe meat should be treated in exactly the same way as tobacco, with public campaigns to stop people eating it," she told a vegan magazine. Perhaps Eugine Sage is not so nutty after all?
