Transparency?

Written by

Your old mate has to chuckle at the sheer hypocrisy of some of our politicians and commentators (especially those on the left of the divide).

Does anyone else remember how upset Labour, the Greens and New Zealand First – and many left-wing commentators – were about the TPP being negotiated in secret? Yet these same parties were more than happy to allow the recent coalition negotiations to go on in private and secret without any kind of transparency. It seems that these people think it necessary that TPP negotiations be held in public, but MMP talks are totally ok to remain nebulous and behind closed doors. What a bunch of dropkicks.
