Environmental lobbyists will go to any length to push for fewer cows in New Zealand.

Recently there was a flurry of media releases and comments from the Greens and other enviro watchdogs after a Federated Farmers executive raised the issue of a moratorium on dairy conversions in Waikato.

Feds Waikato president Chris Lewis says he suggested some reasons for and against it – “then boom, we have a big headline, misinterpretations and misrepresentations!”
