Kotahi supports Kiwi exporters

Reducing the geographic gap between New Zealand and export markets is possible through greater collaboration amongst primary business and logistics partners.

This is the message from the country's largest export supply chain collaboration, Kotahi.

"A company's true export potential is realised with the most efficient supply chain and operations process. A great brand idea within our primary industry will be successful with a focus on getting it into international markets effectively," said David Ross, chief executive of Kotahi.

"As a leader in supply chain collaboration we want to recognise and promote excellence in this important area. Kotahi is proud to support the New Zealand International Business Awards 2016, which recognise New Zealand businesses who demonstrate professional excellence and innovation on the world stage."

Kotahi is a sponsor for the special category award, Excellence in Operations and Supply Chain. This award will recognise a New Zealand export company which can demonstrate innovative approaches to operations and supply chain management through collaboration with partners.

"We believe this award is at the core of what has enabled Kotahi's successful business model. We want to acknowledge others that are doing great things in their supply chain and operations, using innovative and collaborative methods, to create value for their business," says Ross.

"It is through our collaborative approach, working with exporters, importers and logistics partners that we are creating a secure, sustainable supply chain to keep New Zealand competitive on the world stage.".

This year marks the 50th years of the awards, run by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. Entries are now open and companies have until July 8 to submit their applications, with winners announced on November 24.
