Michael Wentworth has joined the team at Mission Estate Winery, filling the "big shoes" of former Chief Executive Peter Holley, who resigned in September last year, after almost 30 years running the storied Napier venue.

Michael, formerly Appellation Marlborough Wine Chief Executive, says he'd moving from one incredible organisation to another.

"I am so impressed by the work of AMW, driven by wine companies who are passionate about protecting the reputation and quality of Marlborough wine."

Michael says Mission Estate's 175 years of winemaking tradition, alongside cutting edge sustainability measures, making it a unique player in New Zealand's wine industry.
