Three-way battle

Nominations have closed for the two farmer-elected positions on the Beef + Lamb New Zealand board.

Three nominations have been received for the Northern North Island electorate. The candidates are Robert MacNab, Ngaruawahia, sitting director James Parsons, Broadwood and Kevin Robinson, Thames.

Three nominations have been received for the Northern South Island electorate. The candidates are sitting director Andy Fox, Amberley, Jeremy Rookes, Amberley and Phil Smith, Culverden.

The election will be conducted by postal and internet ballot. Voting papers, along with information about the candidates will be sent to registered electors on February 15.

Only registered electors can vote and farmers can check they are on the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Electoral Roll by calling the Election Helpline 0508 666 336.

Election Day is March 8.
