AGTEK and ARGO part ways
After 12 years of representing the Landini and McCormick brands in New Zealand, Bay of Plenty-based AGTEK and the brands’ manufacturer have mutually decided to wind up their long-standing agreement.
Landini importer Agtek has recently launched the all-new Rex DT90GE.
The GE suffix denotes ‘ground effect’ in a tractor that offers a seat height of 840mm which should allow orchardists to use the unit in canopies with restricted head space.
Power comes from a Perkins Tier 3 4cyl 4.4L engine delivering 83hp and 353Nm torque, as opposed to much of the competition that offers only 3cyl units in this class. This engine delivers low end torque and power at reduced engine revs.
The Landini built transmission is available with either a 24F x 12R speed synchro-shuttle or 30Fx30R power-shuttle option, for those doing repetitive shuttle actions. In both cases a de-clutch button is included on the main gear lever
The new Rex has a much-remodelled operator platform to improve ease of operation and reduce operator fatigue; ergonomic control layout and enhanced driver positioning will make long or repetitive tasks less tedious.
The Rex 90GE is available in two options: with either the original factory fitted guards or heavy steel rolled guards, which lowers the tractor and makes it suitable for use in kiwifruit operations.
