Editorial: Morale booster
OPINION: The first three Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auctions have been a morale booster for farmers.
Whole milk powder prices have recorded their biggest jump in five months in the overnight Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction.
WMP prices rose 5% to US$3182/metric tonne. It is now sitting close to its year high price of US$3233/MT achieved in January this year.
The biggest jump in WMP price this year was achieved in July - by a whopping 14%.
The overnight GDT price index rose 4.3% compared to the previous auction.
