Meat co-op seeks capital from farmer shareholders
Meat processor Alliance Group is asking farmer shareholders to inject more capital in order to remain a 100% co-operative.
Alliance is encouraging farmers to attend its Annual Roadshow throughout September and October.
The co-operative will host 20 roadshow meetings across New Zealand, starting in Feilding on 27 September and finishing in Mossburn on 18 October.
Alliance chief executive David Surveyor says the co-operative team looks forward to meeting with farmers.
“Nothing beats getting out around the country and meeting people in our rural communities,” he says.
“The roadshow is a great opportunity for our farmers and anyone interested in supplying the co-operative to hear first-hand from directors and senior managers.
“We have had a difficult year with the global pandemic and weather events among the many challenges for the co-operative, but the team has worked hard to deliver for our farmers,” Surveyor says.
The roadshow will include an update on the co-operative’s performance, progress, strategy and plans for the future as well as outlining the challenges, opportunities and market outlook.
