Canterbury-based independent milk processor Synlait Milk has reported a drop in profit, largely due to decreases in dairy prices.
Synlait Milk has posted a $19.6 million net profit after tax for the year ending July 2014, up 70% on the previous year.
Synlait Milk has posted a $12.1 million net profit after tax for the first six months to January 31 this year. The result is an increase of $5.3 million on the result for the same period in 2013.
South Canterbury milk processor Synlait Milk's shares jumped 58c shortly after its launch on the NZ Stock Exchange today.
