Get over it

Written by

Your old mate hears that Labour’s primary industries spokesman Damien O’Connor is very upset with the coverage by Rural News and other rural media of Labour’s water tax – sorry, ‘royalty’.

The West Coast MP is running around whining and moaning to anyone who will listen claiming ‘biased’ and ‘one-eyed’ coverage of the policy. The trouble for O’Connor is that while he might not like what has been written about this appalling, ill-thought-out and anti-farming policy, the opinions expressed are exactly what people in the rural and farming sector think about it. This view has not been helped by his colleague David Parker threatening farmers to stop challenging the policy or he will double the tax! Meanwhile, the Hound hears no complaints from O’Connor about ‘biased, one-eyed’ coverage by the mainstream media of his new leader.
