Open and transparent?

Written by

The Hound reckons claims by the Government that it would be the most “open and transparent” ever elected when it took office are a recurring joke.

A recent example of its clear lack of openness was Damien O’Connor’s secret DIRA review committee (revealed by this fine organ), with anti-Fonterra campaigners Tony Baldwin and Peter Fraser as key members.

Your old mate has heard that revelations of O’Connor’s clandestine DIRA committee have sent Fonterra management and shareholders apoplectic.

Especially finding out that Fraser, a long time critic of the dairy co-op and a paid adviser to one of its competing dairy companies, so deeply involved in O’Connor’s review process.
