Dairy prices defy ample supply as market momentum builds
Global dairy prices continue to rise despite ample supply from key milk producing countries including New Zealand.
The overnight Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction price index rose 4.2% compared to the previous auction.
The first auction of 2019 on January 2 was up 2.8%.
Whole milk powder price was up 3% overnight to US$2,777/MT.
