Bulk fert handler

Written by

NEW EXTRA-WIDE (650mm) chevron-patterned belting on Agriquip’s new Cub Tornado 6000 trailed tandem-axle fert spreader makes the machine ideal for bulky material such as chicken manure, the company says.

Features of the standard unit include 11.5/80 – 15.3 14-ply tyres,  removable swivel hitch, hot dip galvanised frame and chassis, UV treated polyethylene hopper, zinc plated gears and sprockets, and stainless steel spinner discs and vanes.

The new-design spinners with taper bearings have gone on all Cub spreaders since early 2012, reliable even in harsh conditions. The Cub range is locally manufactured.

Says Agriquip, “Many changes have taken place to… deliver a product built to last, and simple to operate and maintain.”

Notably, larger galvanising facilities enable the whole chassis and frame, fully fabricated, to be dipped – the whole unit in one go.

The galvanised axle and walking beam is now bolted together to aid assembly and for ease of maintenance.
The rear control door is also a bolted assembly with built in Teflon wear guides.

New features:

Improved removable ‘one piece state of the art’ HD swivelling tow eye

New heavier drawbar/parking jack, stowed via swing away mounting system.

Zinc passivated shafts

New modern graphics

All new, snug fitting cover now available as an option

Optional wheel tyre assembly upgrade.
