People are switching from plastic to glass milk bottles in the UK.

Most dairy businesses have reported a rise in sales, including a return to the traditional delivery of milk in glass bottles to customers’ doorsteps. This trend has surged in the first part of 2018 as people limit their plastic use. Since the 1990s, milk delivery services have continuously declined. According to DairyUK, the latest delivery figures are one million milk pints per day – about 3% of all milk sales. That includes glass and plastic deliveries (the figure includes both).
