Tax help for drought-hit farmers

Federated Farmers president Bruce Wills is urging all farmers in areas declared official drought zones to talk to their accountants following today's announcement that Inland Revenue will exercise its income equalisation discretions to help affected famers meet their tax obligations.

Farm Day a success- Wills

Last weekend’s sunny weather saw people turn up in droves to Federated Farmers fourth annual Farm Day. Around 5000 people came along to the six host farms in Palmerston North, Christchurch, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Wellington; about 500 more people than last year.
