A US family-owned farming operation has set not one, but two new Guinness World Records by harvesting 1111 tonnes of maize in eight hours and then 1620 tonnes in 12 hours.

German harvester specialist Claas has released new cutter-bars for its Lexion range of combine harvesters, with two configurations and three cutting widths. 

A Claas Disco 1100 RC, billed as the largest tractor-mounted mower-conditioner on the market, has shattered the world record for mowing, knocking over 141ha of lucerne in just eight hours.

New Claas Disco Move 3600 and 3200 mowers, with mowing widths of 3.4 and 3m respectively, are designed for 1m of vertical travel and 30 degrees lateral movement, allowing efficiency and safety in rough paddocks.

The latest offerings from Claas, Amazone, JCB and Trioliet will be on show at the Claas Harvest Centre display at Fieldays.

The dictionary defines ‘panoramic’ as “an unbroken view of the surrounding region”, so the new Claas Arion 400 series tractors should be worth a closer look.

Making its public debut in New Zealand on the Claas Harvest Centre site at Waimumu was the new Arion 600 Series tractors. 

Improvements to Claas Jaguar 900 and 800 forage harvesters include a new hydraulic pre-compression system, a new chopping cylinder, and three new front attachments.
