Women in Wine: Emma Taylor
A love of research and study drew Emma Taylor into the wine industry, but it’s the people who have kept her there.
The new Chief Executive of Bragato Research Institute brings "a wealth of experience in research and innovation", says BRI Chair Mark Gilbert.
Dr Juliet Ansell comes to BRI from a role as Head of Core and Resilience Innovation at Zespri.
"I wam excited to take on this new role and to bring my experience in science and innovation to grow the future of the wine industry," she says.
Juliet trained at Kings College London, has a PhD from Oxford University, and has lived and worked as a scientist in the United Kingdom, Tanzania, The Gambia, and Australia before taking up a role at Plant & Food Research in New Zealand.
She was seconded to Zespri in 2014 as Innovation Leader, before taking up in the role of Head of Core and Resilience Innovation.
Juliet will relocated to Marlborough for the role, with her appointment effective from 15 July 2024.
