Written by

The Hound has always believed the multinational, former tax-dodging, eco-terrorist group Greenpeace to be suspect in the way it behaves – especially towards the farming sector.

And now it’s also been caught out in the way it tries to elicit money from people. A recent media report disclosed that pushy and unprofessional Greenpeace telemarketers are turning off some aspiring philanthropists wishing to donate to the group. It discovered that pressuring, guilt-tripping and – in some cases – withdrawing more money than originally agreed upon, were some of the criticisms levelled against the New Zealand branch of the well-known environmental conservation organisation. Your old mate now understands why Greenpiece NZ was declined charity status – and the tax-free benefits that go with that – earlier this year.
