A recent media report disclosed that pushy and unprofessional Greenpeace telemarketers are turning off some aspiring philanthropists wishing to donate to the group. It discovered that pressuring, guilt-tripping and – in some cases – withdrawing more money than originally agreed upon, were some of the criticisms levelled against the New Zealand branch of the well-known environmental conservation organisation.
