Putting aside the fact methane is a short-lived gas, international climate scientists should be thanking Kiwi farmers because we feed the world more efficiently than anyone else. Declaring war on methane here at home would mean less dairy and meat produced in New Zealand, but it wouldn’t change global demand. Hungry households in China and the US would just turn to other less-efficient countries for their baby formula and ribeye.”
