Reid & Harrison has expanded their product range to include shore mounted, self-priming pumps and a range of submersible pumps and stirrers.
Matamata-based Reid & Harrison, well known for its Yardmaster pump brand, has evolved from just being a pump supplier to a full provider for dairy effluent system needs, offering farmers a full service from concept through design, to installation and ongoing maintenance.
R&H has expanded their product range to include shore mounted, self-priming pumps, a range of submersible pumps and stirrers with mounting infrastructure and an increased range of separators and automation with HALO supersmart control and monitoring.
An increased service offering includes accredited dairy effluent design, warrant of fitness certifications, the position of endorsed effluent systems provider with Farm Source and a nationwide dealer network to provide local services and aftermarket support.
In line with its policy of introducing new innovations or alternative solutions, Yardmaster has released their Progressive Cavity (PC) pump, which compared to centrifugal-based pumps, will move effluent with the focus on power efficiency and constant flow.

The PC versions can deliver pressure up to heads of 240 metres, volumes up to 55 cubic metres per hour and suction lift of up to 8.5 metres. Constructed of cast iron and equipped with chrome plated rotors and natural rubber stators, the PC pump has six rotor speed options and power options from 4kW to 30kW.
Assembled and tested in New Zealand, the range offers users a shore-mounted solution for easier and safer maintenance, constant flow rates over large distances and lower running costs.
The evolution of its pumping solutions means R&H believes the result will mean the right pump (and related equipment) can be selected for the customer’s needs, rather than only offering what is available to the customer, with the end result being cost savings, easier maintenance and performance meeting compliance and customer outcomes.

With the biannual Italian EIMA machinery Expo less than a month away, Case IH has taken out a Technical Evolution award for the Advanced Vehicle Suspension system available on its Optum 360–440 series tractors.
The Advanced Vehicle Suspension system, available on Optum 360, 390, and 440 models, responds to changing conditions, automatically adjusting how the suspension reacts to absorbs shocks and controlling vehicle movement.
In operation, sensors monitor the vibrations transmitted from the tractor chassis to the operator cabin, allowing the system to adjust suspension damping in real time. The control system incorporates key priorities, such as comfort at lower speeds and stability as speed increases, while also reacting to factors such as lower tyre pressures, where the tyres absorb more of the initial shock.
Case IH said as suspension requirements change throughout the working day, as tractors move between the paddock and road transport, the system manages suspension response in the background as tasks, speeds and conditions change, leaving the operator without the need to make manual adjustments.
Richard Hollins, Optum series tractors global product manager, said: “Pioneering technology must earn its place in the working day. Farmers and contractors will judge an investment by what it delivers, including manageable ownership costs, dependable up-time and the versatility to tackle different jobs. With AVS, we are putting intelligent control to work for comfort and stability, without giving the operator another setting to manage.”
Organised by FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, the contest has been part of EIMA since 1986, with the Technical Evolution distinction awarded to products that introduce original improvements to solutions already manufactured or patented.
