Alright for some

A Swiss organic farmer says the high quality of his cheese results from machine-massages his cows enjoy.

Fadri Riatsch says fit, healthy cows “live all summer in high alpine meadows above 2000m, grazing on grass and wild flowers... and I give them massages”.

“Here in Engadin Scuol we have spas for cows as well as people.”

The animals are housed inside in winter but have access to a terrace where they enjoy winter sun, fresh air and breathtaking views of the Lower Engadin Dolomites and the Swiss National Park. They eat straw and hay made from grass and wild flowers with no added hormones.
